2020 Honda Civic Trim Levels Vista CA Honda Civic LX

The Honda Civic LX trim is the base. It comes outfitted with a 2.0L 4-cylinder engine that produces 158 horsepower and 138 lb-ft of torque, and is mated to the Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT).

The interior features the 5-inch Color LCD display that gives access to the media options. The LX also comes standard with Honda Sensing®, which includes features like the Collision Mitigation Braking System™, Lane Departure Warning, Adaptive Cruise Control with Low-Speed Follow, and more!

Civic Sport

The Civic Sport includes the previously mentioned engine, but mated to a 6-speed manual transmission to give drivers a more hands-on performance. Then, some of the biggest differences between the Sport and the base are the interior features.

The Sport adds the 7-inch High-Resolution Electrostatic touchscreen display with customizable feature settings as well as an 8-speaker sound system. This trim upgrade also includes crucial features for today’s driver, like Apple CarPlay™, Android Auto™, and HondaLink®.

2020 Honda Civic Trim Levels Vista CA Honda Civic EX

The Civic EX trim brings a new engine to the Civic. The 1.5L 4-cylinder turbo engine is able to produce 174 horsepower and 162 lb-ft of torque. It also brings back the CVT.

This trim includes the same interior amenities that the Sport added to the sedan. However, a new addition to the Civic with the EX is the One-Touch Power Moonroof with Tilt Feature, the Fin-Type Roof Antenna, and the Body-Colored Decklid Spoiler. The EX also adds Honda LaneWatch™ to the assortment of Honda Sensing® features.

Civic EX-L

It also carries over the spoiler and moonroof featured on the previous trim.

Honda Civic Touring

The Civic Touring is the highest trim in the lineup. It includes all the high-end features added on by each varying Honda Civic trim level as well as a few new features. For convenience, it features Rain-Sensing Windshield Wipers and LED Headlights with Auto-On/Off.

In the cabin, the Touring trim adds a few new features. This includes the Honda Satellite-Linked Navigation System™ with Voice Recognition and Honda HD Digital Traffic and the Premium 10-speaker Audio System.

2020 Honda Civic Trim Levels Vista CAHonda Civic Sedan vs Hatchback

While determining your Honda Civic trim level, you’ll also want to factor in which body style you’ll want. You’ll need to weigh out the Honda Civic sedan vs. Hatchback to truly get the vehicle you want for your adventures on the road. There are some similarities between the sedan vs. Hatchback Civic models, but there are also some notable differences to be aware of when deciding.

Engine Specs & Performance

The Civic sedan and hatchback have different engines. The sedan includes the 2.0L 4-cylinder that can produce 158 horsepower and 138 lb-ft of torque while mated to a Continuously Variable Transmission. The Civic Hatchback, on the other hand, comes standard with a 1.5L turbocharged 4-cylinder engine that can boast 180 horsepower and 177 lb-ft of torque and is also mated to the CVT. Each vehicle offers the option of a 6-speed manual transmission.

2020 Honda Civic Trim Levels Vista CA Interior Dimensions & Cargo Space

The Honda Civic sedan offers its passengers 97.8 cubic feet of cabin space while the Civic Hatchback offers 97.2 cubic feet. Both vehicles offer their front row passengers 39.3 inches of headroom and 42.3 inches of legroom. The rear shows the difference in space with the sedan including 37.1 inches of headroom and 37.4 inches of legroom. The Civic Hatchback reduces the rear legroom to 36 inches, but increased the headroom to 37.4 inches.

The biggest difference with dimensions between the Civic sedan vs. Hatchback is with their respective cargo space. The Civic sedan includes a trunk, so the space is limited to just 15.1 cubic feet for your materials. The Civic Hatchback offers its cargo space behind the rear seats, with 25.7 cubic feet available for your storage needs.

However, unlike the Civic sedan, the Hatchback cargo space can be expanded when you fold down the rear seats. With the second row folded flat, you have 46.2 cubic feet of storage space to work with. If cargo space is a priority, but you still want a relatively compact vehicle that’s highly maneuverable on crowded streets, you may want to consider the Honda Civic Hatchback.

Honda Civic Hatchback Trim Levels

2020 Honda Civic Trim Levels Vista CA While there are some differences between the Civic sedan vs. Hatchback, there are some innate similarities. For example, the Civic Hatchback offers the same trim levels with the LX, Sport, EX, and EX-L. However, it also offers the Sport Touring, which combines the luxuries of the Touring trim, but with the performance attributes and style of the Sport trim. It includes all the updated features and technology while retaining its sporty aesthetics and features.
